Marvin was born on Hill Air Force Base, Utah. His family later settled in the Washington, DC area when his father retired from the military.
Bryson's first taste of artistic success came as a teen rhythm guitarist in the go-go band Hot Property. The group was managed by seventies funk sensation Sir Joe Quaterman. Marvin was also a standout athlete in high school running track and earning a football scholarship to the University of the District of Columbia.
Having achieved professional success as a telecommunications manager in the corporate world, Marvin set his sights on film editing in the new millennium attending Jamie Fowler's Avid Film Camp in Portland, Oregon. While there the bulk of his introduction to Avid systems came as an Additional Editor on Carmella Cardina's modern day adaptation of William Shakesperare's The Tempest where he earned his first screen credit.
2002 found Bryson settling in Los Angeles where he landed a staff position at the world renowned America Film Institute Conservatory. Shortly thereafter Marvin literally received a offer he couldn't refuse, joining the post production crew on the Emmy-award-winning television franchise Law & Order.
Over his five seasons at Wolf Films Bryson developed an expertise in broadcast television post production; while also learning the art of creative producing from the best in the business, immersing himself in all aspects of the creative process from video taping casting sessions (with executive producers Dick Wolf, Neal Bear and Ted Kotcheff), to co-producing a tribute reel featuring Sandra Bullock.
